Lieutenant Colonel Shailesh Bansal

Lieutenant Colonel Shailesh Bansal has served 19 years in Corps of Engineers of Indian Army. In this long and illustrious carrier, he has done almost all possible appointments of the Corps of Engineers ranging from being a Platoon Commander in the inhospitable terrain of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to leading a Trawl Troop in the Sandy desserts of Rajasthan. He has acquired his BE (Electrical Engineering) from Government Engineering college, Jabalpur and done M.Tech in Power System from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Lieutenant Colonel Shailesh Bansal has deep knowledge in works procedures as he has done two tenures as Garrison Engineer in Samba (Jammu and Kashmir) and in Chandigarh (DRDO establishments). During these tenures he has successfully completed the projects of Children School, Accommodation for Infantry Battalion and provided numerous maintenance services to the habitat of the Army Garrisons.
He has commanded an elite Independent Engineer Squadron of Corps of Engineers in the Western Sector and led his troops through the semi desert terrain of Northern Rajasthan in numerous Exercises. He has joined IISER on 22nd July 2019 as Superintending Engineer on Deputation from Army.
