Shri Satyabrata Dey, Managing Director, Sreeleathers Ltd., Kolkata, appointed as the Chairperson, Board of Governors (BoG), IISER Berhampur, with effect from 17 December 2025

Overview:

IISER Berhampur is pleased to welcome Shri Satyabrata Dey, Managing Director, Sreeleathers Ltd., Kolkata, who has been appointed as the Chairperson, Board of Governors (BoG), IISER Berhampur, with effect from 17 December 2025.

The Hon’ble President of India, in her capacity as the Visitor of IISER Berhampur, has been pleased to assign this additional responsibility to Shri Dey for a period of six months or until the nomination of a regular Chairperson, whichever is earlier.

Shri Dey brings with him rich experience in leadership, governance, and institution-building, and currently serves as the Chairman of IIIT Guwahati (PPP). His association is expected to provide valuable guidance and strategic direction to IISER Berhampur during this important phase of its growth.

The IISER Berhampur fraternity warmly welcomes Shri Satyabrata Dey and looks forward to his stewardship, counsel, and continued support in strengthening the Institute’s academic and administrative excellence.
