Mr. Nishant Kumar, Junior Translator (Rajbhasha) at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur. He originally hails from Patna, Bihar. His early education was completed in his native village itself, followed by a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Physics from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, and an Master of Arts in Political Science & International Relations from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Additionally, he also holds an Advance Diploma in Computer Applications (ADCA) degree.
Before joining IISER Berhampur, he served as a Junior Administrative Assistant at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna for over three and a half years. His exceptional contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic earned him the COVID Warrior certificate. At IISER Berhampur, he is committed to implement the Rajbhasha policy set by the Government of India, fostering effective implementation, publicity of Official Language Hindi within the institution.
