PhD Students:
(Prerequisites: Preferable knowledge in Measure theory/Functional Analysis. Yet if the candidate is interested in Real analysis, the candidate will achieve the prerequisite during their first year of Course work at IISER Berhampur in order to work in Harmonic Analysis & Geometric Measure theory.
Usually there will be two calls for PhD students per year from our academic office (https://new.iiserbpr.ac.in/home/announcements). The shortlisting criteria for PhD admission depends on the overall data (rank of NET/JRF/GATE, secured NBHM/INSPIRE) we receive from your applications. Further, the Selection is based on the interview (written and/or oral) conducted by the departmental committee. Hence if shortlisted, your interview may be based on all or some of the following topics: Group Theory, Linear Algebra, Real analysis, Metric Spaces, point set topology and/or based on your course work submitted in the application additional topics may be from Measure theory, Ring & Field Theory, Functional Analysis, Fourier Analysis). The department committee's decision is final.
(Phd positions available) (January 2025 admission interviews are over and the results will be updated by December 10, 2024.)
